I love going somewhere knowing that he will tell me the truth and find the least expensive way to fix my car. David calls me when he needs a part across town quickly so he can get someone’s vehicle repaired without waiting for a normal courier. He has sent me all over north Georgia picking up parts just so his clients can get their cars back in a timely manner. I hope they appreciate the effort he puts into getting them back on the road!

When planning your holiday trips, remember that we can pick up your paper and mail, feed your pets, and handle anything else you need so you can enjoy your trip. I’ve been busy taking care of homes and pets while people have been vacationing, grocery shopping for some wonderful ladies, and working on Marketing projects for a client. I’m beginning to think I need to hire Your 25th Hour for extra hours in my day!

I just got a bill from my Merchant Services Company and they are raising the monthly rates for charge card services! I have decided to quit accepting charge cards and will start checking into PayPal and other alternatives. Most of my clients pay with cash or checks anyway so I don’t want to keep paying so much for a service I rarely use. I hope this won’t be a problem for anyone but I am trying to make a little money here!

I am thrilled that a client whose dogs I take care of when they are out of town, is now using me to help with some marketing projects for their business. I am finally using that Marketing Degree and loving it! I also have a super nice new client who simply needs me to grocery shop for her once a week. She had a tree fall on her car and decided to try to make it without a car. So she calls me and gives me her list and I run to the grocery store for her. Tomorrow I am taking a couple to the airport in their car so they don’t have to pay expensive parking rates, and can be let off right at the door. They need a little extra help with a wheel chair and didn’t want a taxi. I can’t drive people in my car due to crazy expensive insurance rates to drive people but am glad to take them places in their vehicles as long as they are insured!

We’ve been very busy the last few months with so many of our clients going on vacations and needing us to watch their pets and homes. Of course, we’ve also had the normal shopping trips, meeting repairmen at their homes, and taking cars to get oil changes and tires rotated along with detailing so they are not only in good shape but looking good when we return them. We’ve also been doing on-line research for people as well as book-keeping for several businesses. No, none of us are accountants but we can take care of your QuikBooks so you only pay an accountant for preparing your tax returns!

Today, my business partner, Debby, drove off for her new home in Dallas. I will miss her so much as she was not only a great business partner but a very dear friend. I wish them well with this new phase in their lives but Your 25th Hour is still up and running! I have several people helping me with errands so have no fear; we will still help you whenever you need us!

Now for the sad news….Debby is moving to Dallas, TX. I am going to miss her so much! Not only is she my business partner but she is one of my best friends. The good news is that she is thinking she will start a branch of Your 25th Hour in Dallas once she gets settled. That means I will still get to talk to her every day!! And Your 25th Hour (of Smyrna) will still be here to run your errands and de-stress your life.

With summer here, it is vacation time so if you need someone to watch your home while you are away, get in your mail and paper, water your plants, or even take care of your pets, let us know. As most of you know, we cannot drive people in our cars due to the high cost of insurance. They want to treat us like we are a taxi service and charge us $1000 per month per vehicle. We have so many requests to drive people to the airport, but we have solved this issue. We drive to your house and ride with you in your car to the airport, then we drive your car home, after you sign a waiver stating you have insurance and we have permission to drive your car. Today I am riding with someone to the airport and then taking his car to get oil changed and his tires rotated, then driving his car home so when he gets back to town, car is serviced and ready for his busy week ahead. We’ve always said that our clients are the ones who come
up with most of our errands. We have a long list of things we do on our website, but people always call about things not on it, which we love! Now we are working on a quote to pick up fish at the airport and deliver them to a pet store in Kennesaw. Yes, we called our insurance agent to insure we were covered! We are very careful to make sure that all our errands are covered on our insurance for your protection. We also will be filing through one family’s medical records to get them organized by doctor and date so they will always be ready to answer questions about their medical history. So, no request is too crazy because we do most anything legal!
